It bothers me when people say Pastor im here for you but, then talk about him behind his back. It bothers me when people say "God placed me here or the spirit lead me here but, then you leave. It bothers me how you at a church but, you bringing up what other churches do when you not at that church.
First off the Pastor and his family are humans just like you only difference is we have a different role than you. We go to work like you and we go to school like you or your kids do. We have the very same things you have. So stop acting like we got to be perfect. Noone is perfect but, God. We didnt ask to be in this role like some people. So let us live our lives like normal people.
Second stop saying you are for the Pastor and your here to serve but, the minute he says or does something you dont agree with you out the door or going against him but, you for him right ? If you were for him you would follow his lead trust and believe that whatever he says its what God is saying not how he feels because its God's Church the Pastor just runs it. Stop saying you for him but, then you talking about him or his family to other church members like they aint gone come back and tell it to another church member and it gets back to the Pastor. Whats done in the dark will be brought to the light and you will have to answer to it.
I remember a while back one of the biggest mega churches was brought to the media because of a Pastor. Yes Bishop. Eddie Long. Now we dont know this man from Adam to Eve but, people were saying that he did what he was accused of. Now this man in Atlanta and people way in Houston talking about he guilty. Im sorry who are you ? Last time i checked God is the ultimate judge. He is the only one who can judge anyone. You and i dont know if he was guilty or not guilty but, either way we dont have a right to judge anyone because thats not our place. There was a woman in the bible who was caught in the act of Adultery and the people dragged her to God and said she needed to be punished but, God said anyone who hasnt sin cast the first stone and one by one they began to drop their stones because they all have sin so God asked the woman does your accuser stand among you the woman looked around and said no so God said neither do i. Its amazing how God has the right to judge us but, we dont have the right to judge one another but, we do anyway. Oh but, what if all our sins were put on display for people to judge us boy you would think hell done frozed over. Yep, exactly ! So stop judging folks because if you were on the stand in the courtroom and we were the jury you wouldnt like our verdict so stop judging and leave the ruling up to the judge[God).
Now moving on stop trying to get close to the Pastor or his family to be in their business. If he wanted you to know he would've told you but, he didnt so he doesnt want you to know. And im pretty sure he doesnt want someone who runs their mouth to everybody & they grandmama in his business. Which brings me to my next point if you work for the Pastor you work for the Pastor NOT for other people who come and ask questions about him. If they wanna know something about the Pastor send them directly to the Pastor. You are there to be assistance with anything the Pastor needs not to run your mouth and discuss the Pastor's business thats disloyalty.
I feel its also disloyal to discuss what goes on at the church that you attend with a former church member if they want to know what goes on at the church then they shouldnt of left. As far as im concerned what so and so had on or who wasnt at church shouldnt be the topic of discussion. So and so didnt speak to me today and etc so im not speaking to that person anymore. What are you like 14 ? People seriously take that stuff to heart . Its like dude did you even consider he or she didnt see or hear you. Did you consider they probably had other things on their mind besides you. Stop being all emotional and up in your feelings. You suppose to come to church for the WORD not to see so and so, not to see what so and so had on, not to see the Pastor, not to hear praise and worship but,for the WORD.
If you are a "leader" in the church people are looking at you as well. The way you walk, talk, everything. Im sure they thinking why and what makes them a leader and what can they teach me ? Are they giving their tithes and offerings too ? How do they speak and what are they speaking about ? Do they speak and act like the Pastor notice i said like not trying to be the Pastor or run anything just simply like him. It should be that when you are talking with a deacon, or sister or brother so and so that it sounds just as if you were talking to the Pastor.
Now everyone has heard the saying "Church people are the worse and i cant agree more. Theres more drama, mess and etc in the church than anything else. We say that church people are the worse like its nothing. But, we fail to realize and understand that we the people are the church. The way we walk and talk on a daily basis reflects our church and its ministry. Your life is a ministry by its self and people dont realize that. How can you tell one to do right when you not even doing right yourself. How can you tell someone to stop doing this or that when you've done it or still doing it. People at times are like little kids they mimic everything that you do. You cant tell anyone to do something your not doing that just aint right.
When i go to church or even when im not at church the only thing that matters is my business with the Lord. I dont have a heaven or hell to put anyone in im to busy trying to get my lil self right. Im not focused nor concerned about the next person unless they going where im trying to go or already there and if not keep it moving boo cause im on a mission. Im trying to get somewhere and i cant let anybody stop me from reaching my destination especially if its not my own self thats standing in the way. I dont know about you but, im trying to get all that God has planned and purposed in my life. Im trying to be all that he has called me to be and im trying to live out loud.
In reading this i hope this changes your mindset on somethings dealing with the Church. I encourage you to be an active faithful member. Do your tithes and offerings !! The bible says will a man rob God the bible said Yes in tithes and offerings. In doing tithes and offerings YOU get blessed not necessarily back with money but, in other things. DONT BLOCK YOUR OWN BLESSINGS BY NOT DOING RIGHT WITH WHAT YOU OWE GOD. I mean come on now he only asking for 10% thats less than what Uncle Sam ask for.
Also MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS stop worrying about what other people do and say. Im pretty sure those people you are worried about and worried about you. You dont have to try and please everyone cause truth is you not gone please everyone. Im only here to please God and myself cause after everything is all said and done God and myself is really all that i got. Everybody aint gone like you and thats okay God loves you. Dont think that when you discussing your business or whatever that they aint discussing it with other folks cause they are. Thats why you should pray to God for the spirit of discernment. Not everyone has it and thats okay. I didnt have it for a long time but, now i do and let me tell you it keeps me away from all the drama, mess, negativity and ungodlyness.
I hope you really have thought and taken the things ive said into consideration. Im not trying to step on anyone toes or anything i just want you to know that the church is a place for worship not for mess. Its not for people to find a man or woman and yes people still do that dont play. Come to the house of the Lord with a free, open and clear mind so that nothing distracts you from the Word of God. People watch you whether you know it or not. I dont think people take this "church thing"seriously but, its oh so serious. And if you aint right i encouraged you to get right before its too late.
Wow...sorry to hear so much is going on with certain people at the church right now, but it kind of happens in most churches. I absolutely love the church and the Pastor's way of teaching. When I'm there, I'm at my MOST comfortable, outside of being home. I know how some churches could be, so I'm usually pretty quiet and to myself. I don't want to be caught up in anyone's drama. Still, having said that, I do enjoy everything about it...even the people there. When someone is as blessed as the Pastor, there will always be someone there to try and bring him down mentally, emotionally, or spiritually. That's just what happens. You have those who think they can do a better job. You have those who don't like the way things are done. You have those that keep mess going, and you have those that create the mess that is going....it just happens. But he is a strong man. I can just tell. And the people who are true to him and God, he has made stronger too. Therefore, life goes on. A few clowns can't stop the show.
ReplyDeleteYes, while obviously the Pastor and his family are humans, unfortunately, most people put them (especially him) above being just human. It comes with the title. As irritating as it may be, it is what it is. Some people just expect Pastors, Preachers, Revs, etc....to be super human, I guess. So they can't really worry about what other people expect when it comes to things like that. They just have to do what they were called to do. No matter how good they are, there will ALWAYS be someone there to try and bring them down...ALWAYS. If the Pastor did everything he was asked, the way he was asked to do it, IT STILL WOULD NOT BE ENOUGH FOR SOME. So, again, he can't be worried or bothered with that (not saying he is. just making a statement). He seems to be doing exactly what he is meant to do...bringing and teaching the word of God. Lex, I don't know what's going on but he's got this. I can see it in the strength he protrays...it's nothing. Ha! ~Katrece
You are your daddy's child, and I pray one day you'll be able to see for yourself what a church should and can be. Then with a proper comparison and understanding you can comprehend the responsibility of a pastor what church is really about; hopefully to experience true praise and worship. Have you taken into consideration the havoc you've reaped on this ministry and effect you’ve had membership that has limited its growth potential? Remove your plank first!
ReplyDeleteShe is her dad's child that's who God made her to be. Remove your planks and make sure God shows you how a church is supposed to be. Lex let go and let God. People will talk because they talked about Jesus. Some folks love to see you hurting more than they love to see you happy. You and the family continue to press on and let pleasing God be the only thing you worry about. If people leave then let them go. Maybe that's not where God wants them to be. It will be better for the church and maybe that person as well. Girl, don't sweat the small stuff or small minded people. It's not worth your time. And i'm not anonymous i'm your mom. Love you

Second im not speaking on just one church ive been too many churches and know people from other churches and this is what i have observed. Thirdly i know what a church can be and what it should be but, you also have to have the right people in line to do the work that God has called you to do. And further more i experience true praise & worship unlike some people or you yourself i dont need the praise & worship team to get me pumped i enter the doors already pumped. but, i wont continue this anymore you cleary dont understand and thats okay everybody cant see ur vision. But, thanks for being a number fan. stay tune cause honey whatever God has called me to be know that if its a Pastor or a deacon's wife its something i will be called by God to do not just for entertainment or attention like most people these days.
